Contemplation

The pace of life in contemporary society is increasing, exponentially. The pressures on all of us are greater than ever and extend to all aspects of our lives. Now, more than ever, it is important that we ensure we get time for ourselves, to contemplate, to take stock, to consider.

In my work I try to explore this.

For example, ‘The Solace of Solitude’ was taken in a centuries old, disused shepherds hut. Its desolate nature resonated with the notion of Contemplation.

The time I spent in the location was a reminder that we live in connected world and yet feeling alone is increasingly common.

Now, more that ever, we have to look inside ourselves and achieve a state that enables us to find solace in solitude.
